The first big idea came in 2002 when I convinced a CEO to let me start a product development division for his marketing firm. goPROTO was born, and my first shot at being an entrepreneur had started. We developed patents for 8 divisions, producing 3D models, product renderings, SLA/SLS/FDM rapid prototype models and detailed product plans for marketing. I managed all sales, operations, contractors and accounting for the department. The company has since been bought out and goPROTO was absorbed into the current organizations business structure.
Since then I have been a Career Counselor for college students (very rewarding), founded a furniture company and provided consultation for small to mid-size companies. The last five years have been especially exciting and have lead me on a multi-disciplinary journey that allowed me to explore and work with companies all over the world. I have worked internationally in Hong Kong, Argentina and Brazil, and most of my current clients are based in California, Mexico and New York. It is often hard to explain exactly what I do, basically I help companies solve problems. I feel lucky to have been involved in hundreds of projects and am looking forward to the future, whatever that may be.
